Welcome To The City of Potterville

Potterville, the City of Helping Hands, was originally established in 1844 by settler Linus Potter with his wife and seven children. It was incorporated as a village in 1881 and as a City in 1962.

Potterville has gone through a series of changes through the years but still maintains its sense of family, and strong commitment to its community and the pride surrounding this City. With four (4) parks, expanding residential areas, thriving businesses and a historic downtown, Potterville is certainly the place for you. In addition Potterville has a huge softball complex which attracts many organizations from all around into our “Lake Alliance Park”.

Potterville is committed to the small town atmosphere amidst all the new development. Located just south of Michigan’s State Capital on I-69 in Eaton County, Potterville is continually growing and has families within the community who possess strong values, a superb Class C school district with approximately 900 students, 70 committed businesses, and a flair for fun and prosperity.

Our City has easy access on and off to other communities within the Tri-County area. Drive on in or bring your business to this community, enjoy the friendliness of the residents, the quiet of the community, and the expansion of our City parks.
