TIFA is a public financing method which has been used for redevelopment and community improvement projects in many counties. TIFA is used for future gains to finance current improvements that will create those gains. When a public project such as a road or cleanup is carried out to increase the value of surrounding real estate and perhaps new investment like rehabilitated buildings.  TIFA is clearing designed to channel funding toward improvements in distressed or underdeveloped areas where development would not otherwise occur. It creates funding for public project that may otherwise be unaffordable to localities.

TIFA meetings are scheduled the 3rd Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall unless otherwise where noted or changed.
